Martial Arts
Martial arts is the study of using the body in a self-defending or attacking situation. Its focus is on body dynamics and how the body can maneuver around or toward another body. All of the martial arts study this in some form. Aikido (Japanese in origin) is one of the arts that focuses on the energy of both the attacker and defender, giving equal importance to each. In a slightly different focus, Tang Soo Do (Korean style) concentrates more on the martial application of the forces of the defender.
Personal Training
We use our bodies for everything we do, so it is important to help strengthen as well as increase balance and mobility to help it function in the best way possible. By challenging it to move in many different ways, it helps to keep the energy of the mind and body alive and feeling well.
Ki Energy
Ki is the Japanese word for energy. We are all made up of this beautiful energy, and if one listens carefully and starts to study the energy that is in us, around us, and moves through us, then that person can begin to feel it. On one level, studying and observing ki teaches us that perhaps we are more than what we first seem. It is with this in mind, that a ki energy healer plays an unique role; the energy healer recognizes that we all have access to this amazing energy and reminds the individual, on many different levels, that the energy that is sought is really there. A Ki Energy treatment can help an individual find a peace and a calming in the mind and body and spirit. It can be a link or a connection to who and what we really are to assist in healing the body on a spiritual and physical level.
